From New York City and Points South :
Take the New York Thruway (I-87) north to the Albany area. Take Exit 24 (Albany). Follow Exit 1N towards Montreal to connect with I-87 North again. Follow for about 104 miles. Take Exit 30 (Wilmington/Lake Placid/Keene). Make a left onto Route 73 and follow for 16 miles through the towns of Keene Valley and Keene. Bear right onto Route 9N North and follow for 6 miles into the town of Upper Jay, then continue into the town of Jay. Make a left turn onto Route 86 West. This will take you into the heart of Wilmington. To reach Whiteface Mountain Ski Center, continue on Route 86 to the stop sign, make a left turn to continue on 86, and the ski center entrance will be 3.5 miles on your right.

From Philadelphia, PA & Washington, D.C. :
Take I-95 North (NJ Turnpike) into New Jersey. Take Exit 11 (Woodbridge/Garden State Parkway) and get onto the Garden State Parkway North. Continue to the end (the New York State border) and connect with I-87 North (NY State Thruway). Follow for 117 miles to Albany. Take Exit 24 in Albany. Follow Exit 1N towards Montreal to connect with I-87 North again. Follow for about 104 miles. Take Exit 30 (Wilmington/Lake Placid/Keene). Make a left onto Route 73 and follow for 16 miles through the towns of Keene Valley and Keene. Take routes South to the Cornwall Bridge. Pick up Route 37 East to Malone. Follow Route 30 South to Paul Smiths and pick up Route 86 East. Continue to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid and Wilmington. BORDER CROSSING TIMES

From Toronto :
Take 401 East to Route 16 South. Use Prescott Bridge (Ogdensburg, NY). Follow Route 37 East to Malone. Follow Route 30 south to Paul Smiths and pick up Route 86 East. Continue to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid and Wilmington. BORDER CROSSING TIMES

From Montreal :
Take Route 15 South to Champlain Crossing, connecting with I-87 South. Take Exit 34 (Wilmington/Ausable Forks). Turn left onto Route 9N South. Follow for about 20 miles, going through the town of Ausable Forks (sign at bridge says Township of Jay). Follow into the village of Jay. Just past the Jay Firehouse, turn right onto Route 86 West. Follow for 5 miles to the center of Wilmington. Continue for another 3 miles to the Whiteface Mountain Ski Center on the right. BORDER CROSSING TIMES

By Plane :
Lake Placid Airport : 1 mi. south of village of Lake Placid on Route 73, 518-523-2473. Hours of operation are 9am-5pm daily.
Runway : 4,300 ft.
Services : Air Charter, tie down, 80 -100 av-gas, scenic flights, plane repairs, flight instruction, air taxi and air ambulance.
Adirondack Airport : Saranac Lake, 16 mi. from Lake Placid on Route 86, 518-891-5551. Commercial flights. Call - 800-221-2000 for flight information and reservations.
By Train :
Amtrak : Operates between New York City and Montreal; local stop in Westport, NY (40 minutes from Lake Placid); shuttle bus service to Wilmington may be arranged with a reservation 518-523-4431.
By Bus :
